SUBS is a non-profit making social diving and snorkelling club for gay men and lesbians and their friends in Sydney and beyond. The club was formed in 1993, and has grown to around 90 members. Membership is open to gay men and lesbians and their friends with a common interest in diving or snorkelling.
We dive every month in and around Sydney, and include several trips per year to dive on the North and South Coasts. Our dive days include both shore and boat dives. Check out our Dive calendar for a list of dives planned for the next month or so. The dive calendar indicates which dives are also suitable for snorkellers.

SUBS has been an affliate member of the Diving For Life organisation for many years. The SUBS members who went to Fiji in October 2004 for Diving For Life had an amazing experience. So much so that they trekked all the way to Curacao in the Caribbean in 2005 to be reunited with the DFL family, and in 2007 to San Pedro, Belize. .

Throughout the last 15 years, Diving For Life has raised over US$500,000 in funds for distribution to local health charities selected by participating lesbian and gay scuba clubs around the world. Each jamboree attract around 120 gay and lesbian divers from all over the world. Click the banners for more information. SUBS have raised over 19,000 US Dollars through participation in Diving For Life which has been donated to health charities in NSW and Fiji.
